HCU SU extended their solidarity with Jamia and registered decent against the CAB, All India implementation of NRC and Delhi Police.

Students Union 2019-20 has given a call for protest against the brutal attack over the Jamia students by the Delhi Police. Jamia Millia Islamia students were doing peaceful protest against CAB and implementation of NRC to all over India. In Jamia Nagar some people were accused to damage the public property, and making this thing to their base, police has entered in Jamia campus without the permission of proctor and brutally attacked over the students. On this issue Students Union 2019-2020 has given a protest call with effigy burning of Home Minister and Delhi Police. On this call more than 150 students had gathered at North Shopcom from different organisations to express their views and opinions. All the students organisations condemned this atrocious act by the Delhi Police. After that under the leadership of HCUSU Union President Abhishek Nandan, people moved infront of main gate for effigy burning. University security forces tried to stop the students to move outside the campus gate for effigy burning but students resisted them and went outside the gate. Where Telangana Police was already present, infront of Telangana Police, near the main road students raised the slogan and expressed their solidarity. Different students organisations like SFI, ASA, DSU, TSF, TVV and so on expressed their solidarity with Jamia students and condemned the brutal attack over the students inside Jamia premises by the Delhi Police. From students union side Abhishek Nandan addressed the gathering and expressed their views and urge students to stand with Jamia in this critical situation. He also asked students to openly discard the Citizenship Amendment Act and implementation of NRC at national level. Students Union General Secretary Gopi Swamy also expressed their solidarity and told that soon they will organise Masal Juloos inside the campus with Teaching and non-Teaching staff as well as soon they will hit the streets in coming days with other universities and college students of Hyderabad. In last, students burned the effigy of Home Minister and Delhi Police at main road with resistance of police. All of them dispersed peacefully by registering their decent, with the slogan of resistance against CAB, NRC and atrocious act of Delhi police.

HCU Students Union 2019-20 continued the protest against the CAA, all India implementation of NRC and brutal attack over the students of Jamia, AMU and people & students of Assam.
